I saw this old leafless tree in a field. It was a perfect day for photos. On the ground are geese. May be difficult to make them out. This was done with 3 RAW files, merged to HDR in Photomatix Pro, and adjusted with Topaz Crisp. There was some undesireable grain in the sky, so I made two adjusted versions. One that would bring out the details in the trees and foreground, and one that had additional smoothing of the sky. Layer masking in PS, and painted out the grain in the sky.
